Having just finished the Snow Monkey Workshop and Photography Tour, today I’m releasing a very brief update and a recording of some participant comments from the bus as we arrived back in Tokyo.
We set off for Hokkaido tomorrow morning, for the Wildlife and Landscape Workshops, and I’ll bring you an update on this later on.
For now, here are a few of my photos from the Snow Monkey Workshop and Tour.
There’ll be more to come when I get back from Hokkaido!

I can’t believe you get that close, I was convinced you were using a 70-200 or so not a wide angle lens.
It almost feels like I’ve been part of the tour, having followed the progress in the cyber… I enjoyed the sun pillar and snow money images posted so far. I look forward to your nice long podcast about it in due course.
Thanks for the comments Roy and Susan!
Roy, yes, you are right next to these guys. I do shoot with the 70-200 a lot, but I also use a 24-70mm as well. They really don’t mind you being up close.
Susan, that’s good to hear. I’m going to share some images in a 1D Mark IV review this week, and then share more in the coming weeks. I am not totally happy with my shots though, as I spend much more time with the group this year, as the tour was full to the max 12 people that I’d set. It was much more like work this year than the first two tours! 🙂
