The Internet has enabled so much for us, it’s hard to put into words how much I appreciate it, and look forward to what it will become in the coming decades.
At the same time, it has provided the more unscrupulous members of society with opportunities to exploit others, and we spend a large amount of time and money each month just keeping our servers locked down and performing well, just so that we can fend off the constant attempts to hack into our servers and send spam etc.
With that, we take an active roll in supporting the efforts of the folks at AbuseIPDB by reporting as many of these offenders as possible. We also have automated scripts in place to report offenders using ‘bots to continually knock on the door, hoping to find a way in, and at the same time using our server resources to tell them that we’re home, and watching them closely.
