Hokkaido Workshop 2008 – Slideshow (Podcast 146)

by | Jul 14, 2008 | Podcast, Videos, Workshops | 2 comments

This week is [was] a first for the MBP Podcast, as I’m going to release a video slideshow of photographs from the MBP Hokkaido Workshop in January 2008. This Podcast is really just to prime you on this, so that you don’t wonder what’s going on.

If you are new to the Podcast, and wonder what this is all about – in January of this year, 2008, I ran a workshop come photography tour in my favorite photography location on the planet, which is Hokkaido, the northern-most island of Japan. I included photographs of me and the group, which was five participants from the US, Norway, Australia and Canada, and I also included 12 photographs from some of the participants and my own. After some initial communication where we got some group shots from one of the guys, we lost contact with him, so we only have photos from 4 of the 5 participants.

If you want more info on the Workshop itself, please check here, and I also did three episodes on returning from the workshop which were released as Episodes 125 to 128, which I suggest you check out.

Here’s the video embedded.

I love the picture of you and the Bus Driver, Mr Ogasawara , at 40 seconds into the video!

    Excellent slideshow Martin!

Thanks Michael! I want to do a more behind the scenes slideshow of the tours I’ve done this year too. That’s why I bought the GoPros, but I just haven’t been able to make the time to do it yet. Hopefully soon. 🙂

Ogasawara-san was a wonderful guy. We’ve had good drivers every year since, but this turned out to be one of his last jobs before he retired. We did a Blurb book of this first tour too, and he was over the moon when I sent him a copy.
